5 Tips For Walking Through Difficult Times

Over the course of my five decades and three years.  I have had my share of the mountain experiences and I have also been in the valley.   Life can be amazing, fun and worth living when everything is going smooth and according to plan.

The family is happy & healthy, you have the best job in the world, financially you are in a good place, your closet is bursting at the seams with beautiful clothes, you are in good physical shape and you are just loving life.

But with all this amazing happiness, there will come a time when we have to deal with the challenges that life brings our way.

Life can be so unpredictable and problems can come into your life at any time. You can wake up facing health issues, loss of a job. pasting of a loved one or children rebelling. Sometimes it can feel like when it rains,  it really pours down on you. This is a part of life, there is no way to avoid it, prepare for it or have a plan of action.

The only thing we can do is to decide how we are going to react to it. Our reaction to difficult times will determine how we get through it. This is what I have learned about facing difficulties and how to get through them.

Here are my tips for getting through difficult times.

1.  Pray - My first reaction is to pray, praying lets me bring my problems to God, even though he      already knows all about it. Prayer is my way of casting my cares and burdens onto him so he             can handle the situation and I can continue to live in peace -  Psalm 55: 22

2. Trust him & Have Faith - After praying and casting your cares, you have to trust and have faith.       Trust that he heard your prayer and he is going to walk you through it or he's going to fix it in his      time. Faith that you believe he is working on the problem even when you don't see the situation change or you don't get an answer, you still believe in your heart. Proverbs 3:5 -6  & 2 Corinthians 5:7

3. Live your Life - Continue to live your life, don't let this distract you from your journey and enjoying the life God has blessed you with.  Don't let fear hold you in bondage. You have already cast your cares, your trusting him and you are walking by faith. God is in control, he wants you to live your life and live it abundantly. John 10:10

4. Meditate Daily - Look for scriptures that you can meditate on throughout the day so you can be      reminded of Gods promises. These scriptures will help you to keep your mind off your problems and on his promises.

5. Accept the Situation - Accepting the situation, trusting God and knowing in your heart that he is in control of all things will give you peace and freedom from anxiety and worry.
